The Riverbreaks
The Riverbreaks
The Riverbreaks is an Americana rock band from the District, known for its narrative lyrical depth that spans themes of youth, the Latin American drug war, and nature. The band has released two full-length albums, its most recent being Wildfire, recorded with acclaimed Chapel Hill, NC producer Chris Stamey. Fresh off its spring 2016 European tour that featured shows in London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona, and having toured more than 20 states across the country, The Riverbreaks are known for curating rowdy, yet artistically provocative live sets that have spurred a dedicated fan following.

Letitia Van Sant & The Bonafides ( CD Release Show!!)
Folkstress Letitia VanSant’s distinctly intimate vocals and poignant songwriting landed her debut album among the top local releases of 2012. After joining forces with the recently-christened Bonafides (guitarist David McKindley-Ward, drummer Will McKindley-Ward, and bassist Tom Liddle) the repertoire has grown into a bold sound charged with the authenticity and sense of purpose we pine for in Americana. Judging by their full-throated harmonies, disarming rapport, casual habit of trading around instruments, and general penchant to have a good time, it comes as no surprise that the band evolved from many glad evenings picking away until the wee hours.

Sam McCormally (from Ugly Purple Sweater, Fellow Creatures)
Sam McCormally is a guitarist, keyboardist, singer, and composer. He was the lead singer and songwriter for the acoustically tinged indie rock band Ugly Purple Sweater. His songs set peculiar melodies in unusual harmonic contexts, and his vivid and often funny lyrics grapple with personal struggles, metaphysical experiences, and broader social issues. Recently, he has played in Pearl and the Beard and Paperhaus. He has also composed music for film and theatre pieces. Two of his songs also appeared in the comedy Unicorn City.

Sam was a recipient of a 2013 DC Artist Fellowship. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Rachel.
