Great Northern
Great Northern
Great Northern (Out of D.C.) performs songs from all eras of the Grateful Dead's rich history including both acoustic and electric arrangements of the material. What started as a group of regular attendees of a local Grateful Dead open jam quickly manifested into a serious project. It was clear from the beginning that each member brings a unique strength while perfectly complimenting each other. Great Northern is the perfect outlet for us to enjoy playing the music we are so passionate about.
The Woodshedders
The Woodshedders
The Woodshedders are an Indie Roots Rock band boasting four all-original studio albums and performances at hundreds of festivals and shows. The band consists of Dwayne Brooke on guitar and vocals, Ryan Mayo on bass, Jesse Shultzaberger on drums, Jacob Smith on Saxophone and Keys, and Fiddlin' Dave Van Deventer on Fiddle. The Woodshedders bring lyricism and musicality to fun, danceable shows that swerve through Honky-Tonk, Gypsy, Appalachian, and Vintage Rock n' Roll, often in the same song.

They have shared this unique musical alchemy at venues near and far, including Red Wing Roots Music Festival, Deep Roots Mountain Revival, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Festival, Mountain Stage New Song Fest, Kingman Island Bluegrass Festival, PBS Song of the Mountains, The U.S. State Department's Fourth of July Picnic, Opera House LIVE!, The Hamilton, Confluence Festival, The State Theatre, The Hippodrome, WAMU’s Capital Americana, The Jefferson Theatre, and their monthly residency at Hill Country BBQ in D.C. They are the also the host band of Virginia’s celebrated Watermelon Park Fest.
Zydeco Jed
Zydeco Jed
In late spring of 2013, a group of musician friends decided to get together to play a Labor Day music festival at Fantastic Farm in Frederick County, Maryland. One thing led to another, and few jams later the group rounded out to its current line up to delight audiences with a fresh blend of roots rock, Grateful delta, honky tonk and just about anything that makes you happy and dance.
The band members are from all around the DC area from Southern Maryland to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and play clubs, festivals, wineries and private parties all around the region. Having all played together in various projects over the years, there's a deep musical camaraderie in Zydeco Jed that comes through in the smiles and vibes that envelope the scene. Decades of experience together have blended elements of roots rock, jazz, blues, Grateful Delta, country and folk into a vibrant ensemble of musical energy that you're sure to enjoy. Come join the party!
