Filmmaker & Appalshop Founder Herby Smith will be on the scene with Appalshop Director Alex Gibson. Appalshop media & merch will be for sale and a Q & A with the filmmaker will follow our first feature, The Ralph Stanley Story.

Appalshop is proud to be in DC for an American Folklife Center event "Since 1968: Cultural Organizations, Programming and Documentation, and Community Enrichment in New York, Kentucky, and Washington D.C." on Monday, September 24 at 1 pm. The afternoon symposium is at the Library of Congress, Whittall Pavilion, Thomas Jefferson Building and is free and open to the public.
