Chris Cassaday
Chris Cassaday is a folk-funk singer/songwriter from Arlington, Virginia. Over the past 4 years, Chris has performed at hundreds of different venues in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Florida and even Hawaii. He attended James Madison University where he regularly performed as a solo acoustic act, as well as with several different bands. Chris also sang and played guitar for the popular Arlington based funk-blues-fusion band Micro Massive, who played over 60 shows at some of the best venues DC has to offer, including but not limited to: Gypsy Sally's, The Bullpen at National's Park, IOTA, and The Velvet Lounge.

He released his first EP, "Split Decisions", on November 29th, 2014 available free for your downloading convenience at Chris then independently released his second professionally recorded album "The Savannah Sessions" on May 25th, 2015 to widespread support and great reviews on iTunes and google play. The album was mixed and produced by Ted Bowne, one of Chris's greatest influences and the lead singer of the award winning rock-reggae band Passafire. “The Savannah Sessions” is available on iTunes, Spotify, Rhapsody, Google Play, and youtube. Chris's song "My Oh My" off of the album is now being featured on Sirius XM's the Coffee House (Channel 14). Chris also performed a 5-song live session for Sirius XM that is featured on the Coffee House as well. On April 10th, 2017, Chris released his third studio effort "Stranger Places" on all digital music outlets. For the second time he got to work Ted Bowne of Passafire, and critics have praised "Stranger Places" for it's better production and more "mature" content.

Chris's unique blend of blues, folk and funk, his crafty songwriting style, his unpredictable set lists, and his thunderous, distinctive voice have gathered him a significant following around his hometown and other parts of Washington, DC. He continues to play all up and down the east coast, and hopes to perform near you soon.
