Edjacated Phools
Edjacated Phools
The Edjacated Phools are a 6-piece fusion band based in Baltimore, MD. Comprised of Devin Barone (drums), Tyler Garrison (bass), Nick Hatzis, (vocals) Kyle Sappington (vocals), Logan Sappington (guitar, vocals), and Ben Yancheski (keys), they combine a unique blend of rock, reggae, hip-hop, ska and punk influences into a unique sound that is truly unlike any other band. Formed in 2014, the Edjacated Phools have been making noise on the east coast with their dynamic guitar playing, smooth basslines and booming vocals, complemented with melodic keyboards, intricate leads, intense drums and hip-hop icing to complete their powerful sound. In April 2016, the Edjacated Phools recorded and released their EP under legendary reggae producer Jim Fox (Inner Circle, Rebelution, SOJA, The Wailers, Don Carlos) at Lion and Fox Studios in College Park, MD.

The band played its first show in January of 2015, and since then have had the privilege of playing alongside some amazing bands, including: The Expendables, Big Something, Passafire, Roots Of Creation, Higher Education, Pasadena, Bumpin Uglies, Big Infinite, Stacked Like Pancakes, The Henchmen, Bencoolen, The Milestones, and Dale and the ZDubs. The band also recently had the honor of playing at the 35th Annual Artscape Festival in Baltimore, MD this past July, and also organized and curated the very first Hightopps Backstage Bash music festival in Baltimore County in September 2016.

The band has an exciting first quarter of 2017 in store, recently having been selected to open for The Expendables for a second time on March 14th at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, as well Badfish on May 5th at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. The band will also be playing the Light City Festival in Baltimore on April 6th, and the Johns Hopkins Spring Fair on April 30th.

The band is looking forward to releasing its first full-length LP in 2017.
Of Good Nature
Of Good Nature
Of Good Nature is an indie rock-reggae five piece that was formed in Charlotte, NC in 2011 by front-man, guitarist Cameron Brown and drummer, percussionist Joey Vachon. Coming up in the thriving music scene in the Queen City has been vital to the band’s early success, as well as the blending of rich musical styles which transcends foundations of rock-reggae to progressive instrumentals of funk and rock n’ roll.

The 2011 debut album, Just Add Water, won Indie-Ville Reggae Album of the Year - Nashville, TN. On October 23rd 2015, their sophomore album, Life Worth Livin, debuted at #5 on the iTunes Top Reggae Album Chart. The band was featured in Irie Magazine : Cali Edition (November), scoring their own "Respect” multi-page write up; additionally, the title track was featured as The Pier’s “Mp3 Leak of the Week” and is being spun on a number of traditional and internet radio stations. The prolific crew has already made it back to the workshop, recently hitting the studio with Ted Bowne of Passafire. The project is planned for release Summer 2017.

The OGN live show is turning heads all over. Embarking their funky-reggae-party onto Train's Sail Across The Sun Cruise (Tampa, FL - Costa Maya, Mexico) in Febraury of 2017, the band teamed up with Michael Franti and Spearhead, Arrested Development, Natasha Beddingfield, and more. The notable Reggae Rise Up Festival in St. Petersburg, FL added Of Good Nature to the already stacked bill through their Artist Discovery Contest in early 2017, along with Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, Iration, Steel Pulse, The Green and MANY more.

The group has also shared the stage with headliners like Sublime with Rome, Dropkick Murphys, Matt Nathanson, Keller Williams, Common Kings, George Porter Jr., Tomorrows Bad Seeds, The Movement, Tribal Seeds, The Supervillains, Ballyhoo! and many others. Be on the lookout OGNation, Of Good Nature's National Tour is lining up for 2017.
