Dreamsville is a jazz combo based in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The band was formed after several successful off-the-cuff performances at Epicure Cafe in Fairfax, VA. Dreamsville is Joe Lerner on bass, Ben Tufts on drums, Jacqueline Francis on vocals, with special guests on guitar and piano.

Like many bass players, Joe Lerner started playing bass because he played guitar, and somebody needed a bass player. Since then he has focused mostly on jazz, but has also forayed into many other musical genres, ranging from R&B to Brazilian. In 2013 Joe was especially happy to play for a rock musical in the DC Fringe festival, The Agony And The Ecstasy Of Steve Jobs: The Musical. Joe's daughters don't like jazz, so they hardly ever come see him play.

Ben Tufts plays drums for Derek Evry, Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray, Mud Rey, Laura Tsaggaris, Jenny Leigh Band, The Cowards Choir, Bobby Thompson, Jason Masi, Taylor Carson, among others. In his free time, he tries to sleep, bathe and eat somewhat responsibly. A self-described musical omnivore, Ben's holistic approach to playing and teaching drums has evolved from his 25+ years of wide-ranging experience playing rock, metal, punk, jazz, classical, latin, folk and theatre.

Jacqueline Francis has been singing jazz standards all of her life; she was raised on Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Helen Merrill, Astrud Gilberto, and spaghetti. An award-winning singer-songwriter now based in Fairfax, VA, she is returning to her roots. Jazz is her home.

Welcome to Dreamsville.
