Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad’s sixth studio album MAKE IT BETTER will be released September 16, 2016 on Rootfire Cooperative.

Formed in 2001 in Rochester, New York, GPGDS first received praise for their live show, which combined world beats and reggae rhythms within jamband aesthetics. In recent years the band’s studio recordings, which showcase their songwriting and musicianship across all genres of roots music, have further cemented their legend as master innovators and artists. “There is a lot of intention in this release. We had a purpose to prove to ourselves recording this album [MAKE IT BETTER]. We wanted to know that we could put our heads down and do good work fast. It was a great release artistically. It uniquely sounds the most progressive of anything we have ever done while also sounding the most like our first album.” -James Searl, Bassist/Vocalist
Nappy Riddem
Nappy Riddem
Since releasing their debut album on Fort Knox Recordings in 2011, NAPPY RIDDEMhas been busy touring nationwide and releasing a string of remixes, transforming itself into an uplifting and conscious reggae band that is funky enough to pack the dance floor. Started by Mustafa Akbar and Rex Riddem, Nappy Riddem has expanded into a six-piece band, whose live show is engaging and compelling, getting the crowd moving and grooving with a smile on their faces.

In 2013 Nappy Riddem released "The Rock Steady EP" and was awarded "Best Reggae Recording" by the Washington Area Music Association, in 2014. Nappy Riddem stepped out of the studio to focus on touring. They've toured up and down the East Coast as well as Texas, Colorado and California. Nappy Riddem has headlined world famous venues like the 9:30 Club and Brooklyn Bowl. This band of brothers has had the pleasure of supporting Steel Pulse, the English Beat, Go-Go rockers Experience Unlimited, John Brown's Body, Lee Scratch Perry, and every current incarnation of Bob Marley's Wailers, most recently featuring Aston "Family Man" Barret and Marley's Lead Guitarist Junior Marvin. Junior Marvin also selected Nappy Riddem to mentor and tour with him as his backing band during their 2014 California tour. The highlight of which was headlining the prestigious Joshua Tree Music Festival. Nappy Riddem's performances meld Reggae, Rock, and Funk together into their unique brand of "Dancehall Funk".
FeelFree
FeelFree
A sound we all can call home. Listening to Washington D.C.-based band FeelFree's most recent EP entitled "The Ebb Tide", listeners are surrounded by infectious reggae rhythms layered with jazz harmonies. Mix in blues-tinged guitar work, catchy vocal melodies and a hard-hitting horn section, FeelFree's genre bending reggae is a brand new sound. Their diverse array of instrumentation allows them to effortlessly blend reggae, funk, jazz, and rock influences and has audiences fist-pumping and slow-dancing all in the same breath at one funky reggae party you won't want to miss. There is something for everyone in FeelFree's music, a song for any time of day.

Born and bred in the cultural "melting-pot" that is Washington D.C.'s metro area where styles as different as punk-rock, Central American reggaeton, and D.C. go-go music clash on the daily, FeelFree's own evolution has been ten years in the making. As youngsters, Andrew Pfeiffer, Evan Hulehan, and Bryan Frank began composing original tunes in seventh grade. Fast-forward 6 years, FeelFree began seriously writing, performing, and recording in and around Alexandria, VA after adding Garret Clausen on bass and Colin Cantfil on trumpet in 2010. In 2014, they added the multi-talented Davey Hoen to the mix on keyboards rounding out their vibrant sound.

Their live show exhibits FeelFree's raw, powerful energy and impressive live musicianship and has listeners hooked on their innovative, yet accessible tunes. They are quickly gaining popularity in and around Washington D.C. and now have 2 east coast tours under their belt. Slated to record a new album this winter, FeelFree's horizons are ever-expanding. Their music is for the everyday work-hard, play-hard music fan who appreciates life for the people we share it with, the challenges we face, and the good times we celebrate. FeelFree.
