Bearcat Wildcat
Bearcat Wildcat
Bearcat Wildcat is a hybrid creature: A little bit country, a little bit blue, and a little bit rock and roll. The six-member Americana band from Washington DC represents a collection of songwriters, vocalists, and multi-instrumentalists drawing on old American roots music and modern sounds alike. They put on an energetic and intimate live show, featuring warm vocal harmonies, nimble instrumental riffs, and infectious rhythm.

Recorded at Bias Studios in northern Virginia, their debut EP showcases an expansive sound. "Baby Don't Drive" is a rollicking getaway anthem based on a true story, while rhythm-driven "Houston" takes on a different sort of running away. "Rolling Springs" features lush four-part harmonies; She Picks Me Up" is a lively toe-tapper; "You & Whiskey" leaves a mean, slow burn.
Happy Abandon
Happy Abandon
"Happy Abandon is an orchestral rock band from Chapel Hill, NC, consisting of Peter Vance (songwriter, guitar, vocals), Jake Waits (drums), Justin Ellis (bass), and occasionally Alex Thompson (keyboards, programming). Although the members met as students at UNC Chapel Hill in 2010, Happy Abandon didn’t form until early 2015, well after the members’ separate bands and musical projects ran their course. This allowed the four friends to develop their own goals, talents, and experiences, learn from them individually, and pool them into a new collective identity.

In their short time together, the band honed their powerful live sound by opening for such acts as Ben Sollee, Saintseneca, Rubblebucket, Mutual Benefit, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and more. They soon recorded and released their debut EP, “Heavy Lines”. Helmed by Grammy-nominated producer John Custer, the five songs gained praise from several local and national press outlets for its smart combination of pop/folk construction and post-rock/shoegaze presentation. Two release shows in Chapel Hill and Washington, DC in January 2016 drew capacity crowds, and were followed by an 18-date tour of the southeast and midwest, including six showcases at SXSW 2016. A 24-date tour of the Northeast and Canada followed in August,

The band is currently hard at work on the road and finishing up their first full-length record. Produced in partnership with Triangle-based producer Jason Merritt (Hot Hot Heat, Courtney Love) and LA-based producer Jamie Candiloro (REM, Ryan Adams), Facepaint will release on 8/25/17 on Schoolkids Records (formerly Second Motion Records) with distribution through Redeye Worldwide."
The Lawsuits
The Lawsuits
The Lawsuits formed after Brian Dale Allen Strouse met Vanessa Winters & Brendan Cunningham, both of whom were attending Temple University. Shortly after the 3 started together, drummer Josh Friedman joined and the four released an acoustic ep, 'Numbers', in 2012. Guitarist Joe Bisirri joined during the making of the groups' first full length, 'Cool Cool Cool', which was produced by Bill Moriarty (Dr. Dog, Man Man). The album's first single, 'Onion', was chosen as #22 of Daytrotter's 300 Best Songs of 2013. The album was received well critically and premiered with the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin, and Paste Magazine.

In 2014 the band released a new EP, 'Tumbled', on American Diamond Recordings.
