How do I purchase a ticket?

You can purchase tickets Online on our website, by phone (877.987.6487) or by going to the Ticketfly website at www.ticketfly.com.  Tickets are also available at the door unless the show is sold out.

  • Online:  Tickets are available here on our website.  Just click on the TICKETS button next to the show you wish to attend and follow the prompts.  We accept American Express, Visa & Mastercard for online ticket sales.  You have 3 options:  (i) Print at Home, (ii) Will Call, or (iii) Ticket Delivery (US Mail or 2nd Day Air for an extra charge).  If you print your ticket at home, please bring your printout which will have a bar code for entry.  If you elect Will Call, your name will be on a list at the front door. Your email confirmation and a photo ID are required to check in.
  • Box Office:  Tickets are available at our Box Office provided the show is not sold out.  If tickets are not sold out, the Box Office will open 1 hour before doors on show nights.  We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds, credits or exchanges on your tickets.

Our box office will open 1 hour before our evening’s scheduled show.

What type of seating is there?

Gypsy Sally’s will vary its seating plan based upon the scheduled performance.

If the entire show is General Admission, the  General Admission tickets can be used for seating or standing.

If the show has GA Seated or GA Standing options, you will be able to choose a seat (first come first serve) when you arrive at the venue.  Many of the seats are communal, which means you may have other guests at your table.

What’s included in my ticket purchase?

Unless otherwise noted, your ticket price only includes your admission to the event.  Dinner and drinks are not included but are available for purchase at your table or at the bar.

How do I make a reservation for a full General Admission event?

If the entire event is scheduled as General Admission, then all you need to do is purchase your ticket. General Admission tickets are handled on a first come, first served basis. We do not take reservations for these events, so please arrive early to get a good seat.

What do I need to ensure my reservation?

Your tickets serve as your reservation automatically. You do not need an additional reservation to eat and drink at your seats for the show, which will be held for you until the end of the show.

What happens if I run late?

For GA shows, your tickets will be held for you until the end of the show.

I bought tickets to a show, and now I cannot make it. What are my options?

Unfortunately all ticket sales are final and we do not issue refunds, transfers or credit. If you can find someone to use your tickets, please email your guest’s name and your order number to boxoffice@gypsysallys.com and we can alter your reservation.

If I don’t have a ticket to the show, can I still come in and sit at the bar?

When we have a show, the main Music Room is for ticket holders only.  However our Vinyl Lounge is a separate space and open to non-ticket holders for dinner and drinks.

What happens if the show is Sold Out?

To ensure that you are guaranteed entry to the show, we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance. Once a show is sold out, we cannot do anything to help you, other than allow access to one individual each time one leaves for the evening.  This scenario is avoidable by buying in advance.

Can I attend an event if I am under 21?

Due to the complicated nature of hosting all ages events, and the liability to our liquor license, all shows are 21 and over unless otherwise noted.  Valid State issued ID is required of all guests, regardless of your age.

What if I have questions about a previously placed order?

You can contact at Ticketfly representative via email at: customersupport@ticketfly.com, via telephone at:  877.4.FLY.TIX (435.9849) or via Twitter at:  @FlySupport. Ticketfly’s Customer Service Hours are:  Monday – Saturday: 7AM-6PM PST and Sunday: 10AM-6PM PST.

What are the Service Fees on Ticket Purchases?

Our ticketing company, Ticketfly, will charge a service charge of anywhere from $2.25 to $5.25 per ticket.  We do not have any say in this matter.  If you pay with a credit card, Ticketfly will also impose a 3% per ticket Handling Fee (which is actually charged by your own credit card company).  Gypsy Sally’s charges a $2.00 Facility Fee per ticket for their booking, sound production, security and box office staff, all to enhance your performance experience.  These fees are in addition to the published ticket price.

When are you open?

Gypsy Sally’s Music Room is open on show nights only. Please check your tickets or our website for Door and Show times.  The Vinyl Lounge is open Tuesdays 6:00 pm til 12:00 a.m. and Wednesdays – Saturdays until 2:00 a.m. The Vinyl Lounge is also open any Sunday or Monday if there is a live show in the Music Room.

When do shows start?

This depends on the show, style of entertainment, number of opening acts, and what else is happening at Gypsy Sally’s that night.  Check your tickets or our website for that night’s start time.  Doors will typically open 1-2 hours before the music’s start time.  As a courtesy to the artists, we recommend arriving no later than thirty minutes before show time.

How long before a show can I sit down?

Your seats are typically available to you 1 hour prior to the show unless otherwise specified by us prior to the event.  Food and drink will be available at that time.

What are your box office hours?

Our box office opens when our doors open which is anywhere from 1-2 hours before our evening’s scheduled show.  The box office is not open if we do not have a show in our main music room.

How do I get there? Is there parking? GPS Alert!

It has come to our attention that most GPS car systems as well as Google Maps and MapQuest have incorrect directions to our venue.  We are working with these companies to correct the situation.

Please note that we are located on K Street UNDERNEATH THE WHITEHURST FREEWAY not on it! K Street is also known as Water Street.

Street parking is often available on K Street (Water Street) or the surrounding area. If you are unable to locate a public parking space, there are multiple parking lots on K Street.  We recommend Constitution Parking located at 3217 K Street which offers discounted parking after 5:00 pm.

For a list of Georgetown Parking Garages, please click here.

For directions by car, Metro, Metrobus or DC Circulator, see Directions and Contact tab on this website.

What is appropriate etiquette for attending Gypsy Sally’s?

No cameras, flash photography or audio/video recording of any kind is allowed unless specifically permitted by management in advance. Gypsy Sally’s has gained a reputation as a listening room; one where songs are valued and songwriters recognized for their compositions.  Too much conversation distracts listeners and is disrespectful to the songwriters who form the backbone of our music community.  Our room is designed to be quiet – even the telephone lights up rather than ringing!  We encourage talking before the show, between sets and after the show but ask that during the performances, to keep conversations as low as possible as it will distract not only the audience members but the artists as well. Please silence your cell phone.

Is there a dress code?

There is no formal dress code, we are a very casual venue. Shoes and shirt are required.

What type of alcohol do you serve?

We have a full bar with regional craft beers, select wines and liquor.

What type of cuisine is served at Gypsy Sally’s?

Please go to our Menu tab to see our offerings. The dinner menu is available until from opening until 11:00 p.m., after which a lighter bar menu will be offered until 12:30 a.m.

Is there a food or drink minimum?

No, but there is a minimum of $20 for all credit card orders.

Is Gypsy Sally’s wheelchair accessible?

Yes. We have several seats that will accommodate a wheel chair or a visitor using some form of assistance: walker, cane, etc. Please contact us in advance so we can reserve the most easily accessible table for you.

As our main front door is only accessible via stairs, we ask that our wheelchair patrons use our rear entrance (which is ramped and accessible by a car for drop off). We also have three restrooms that are handicapped accessible.  Our best recommendation is for anyone who has mobility concerns to call our office at 202.333-7700 or email at info@gypsysallys.com, so that we can ensure that aisles are kept as clear as possible.  Advance notice is always recommended – the earlier the better so we can assure our guests a wonderful experience at Gypsy Sally’s.

What is the Vinyl Lounge?

The Vinyl Lounge is adjacent to Gypsy Sally’s and is accessible through our rear door.  The Vinyl Lounge is open Tuesday-Saturday (and Sundays or Mondays if we have a live music show in our Music Room) and is always free! The Vinyl Lounge routinely hosts acoustic performances and late night evenings Tuesday-Saturdays. Please check out our tab on our Website for special evenings. You are welcome to bring your vinyl records for all to hear.
